Education & Outreach
Educating, supporting, and guiding those on the path to recovery and reducing stigma with community outreach.
Our Education & Outreach initiatives extend the mission of The Lighthouse RCO beyond our walls and into the heart of the community. By bringing conversations about mental health, recovery, and resilience into schools, faith centers, civic groups, and public spaces, we aim to shift perspectives and create a more compassionate culture.
Through student assemblies, parent forums, town hall events, and collaborative campaigns, we demystify recovery, reduce stigma, and share lived experiences that humanize what it means to struggle and to heal. Our youth ambassadors and adult allies share powerful personal stories, while our evidence-informed presentations offer practical guidance for prevention, early intervention, and community healing.
We also provide tailored education to professionals and caregivers—equipping teachers, mentors, and frontline workers with tools to support youth experiencing behavioral health challenges or substance misuse.
Outreach isn’t just about awareness—it’s about connection. Whether we’re handing out resources at a local fair or hosting a film screening with a post-panel discussion, our efforts are grounded in empathy and action. We meet people where they are, offer support without judgment, and ensure that no one has to walk the path of recovery alone.
